|Robots made with polymer clay and pigment powders for a hint of shimmery goodness. |
When I had my daughter all sorts of new ideas came into my head with the robots. This was the first, a robot reading to a little robot
A creature in my house - contest #9This contest has ended. The winners announement can be found here.A creature in my house - contest #9 by GrimGloomTale
-Mum, can I invite the neighbour from the top floor for a tea? He's cute.
-Darling, we live alone on the top floor and there's just the roof above us.
Is it a nice house elf? Or the annoying one stealing just a single sock from a pair? Or its cousins, living in the wardrobe and biting holes in your coats. Or something worse, disturbing or gruesome... Does it live in your room, in the kitchen, or somewhere else in your house? What is it?
This Autumn, in this contest your task is to present us that creature from your house. Inside - no gardens. Unless the garden is inside. And it doesn't have to be your house, could be the one you dream about. Heading back to the creature itself - you may consider it an invader from your point of view, but perhaps it lived there a long time before you were born... or it follows you wherever you move in. Good if it's a harmless on
Not much to say about me really. I like to work in clay and resin mostly. Oh and can't forget the shrinky dinks! |
I make robots and jewelry that I sell at local science fiction conventions here in Texas but have also branched out to other states like Illinois, Massachusetts and California.
I am on the board of ASFA, the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists and also work on science fiction conventions. In 2012 I chaired ArmadilloCon, Austin's local literary science fiction convention, and was the head of advertising for WorldCon in 2013, LonestarCon and am working on another bid for 2016. I have edited and designed the Artist showcase for Renovation, Chicon, and now Loncon 3. I guess you can say I like fantasy art

|Draw/sketch/sculpt/photograph me a little something and send me a picture and I will post it on my wall. From my page you can tell I am slightly partial to fantasy, robots, cats, rocketships, cutesy steampunk (yeah i know that isn't really a thing, but why not?) If you want more specifics, I like the color green, and my favorite artist is Brian Froud, my house is full of pictures of cool doors I have taken pictures of. If you want to recreate one of my pieces in your style, that would be cool too. |
STOP ASKING ME FOR POINTS!
I give points as thank yous for watches and the like as a thank you. If you ask it seems like it cheapens the gesture.
